This is a new component and includes all animation and interpolator nodes from V3.3 plus new ones developed for this specification. The label in pararenthese indcates the X3D V3.3 component where the node originated. If there is no lable, then this is a new node for this document.

All of the interpolator nodes (Chaser, Damper, Interpolator) have fields that indicate the type of interpolation (linear, spherical, ...), and data type of the input and output value. This allows the interpolator to be used for different kinds of methods of interpolation, though only one at a time.
